The San Jose Fire Department called a viral video on Instagram showing a bikini-wearing woman exiting a fire truck “concerning” on Friday.
In the video, posted by SanJoseFoos on Oct. 6, the woman exits a fire truck parked in front of the Pink Poodle and walks toward the strip club on Bascom Avenue.
“An investigation has been initiated to determine facts surrounding the video,” San Jose Fire Chief Robert Sapien, Jr., said in a statement.
The city said that if the investigation uncovers “inappropriate behavior” in violation of the city’s code of ethics, “appropriate steps will be taken to address the matter.”
San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo shared a statement with KTVU: “If the investigation concludes that this video is as bad as it looks, then heads must roll. We cannot have a life-critical emergency rescue apparatus relegated to a frat party bus, nor tolerate any conduct that so demeans the heroic work of the rest of our SJFD team.”
The Pink Poodle has been in business since 1963, according to its website.
